X1 is killing ME!

I so desperately wanna use X1 . I been on with tech support several times, Today I did a complete reinstall deleted Hkeys ect as per Cakes instructions.
Why I called was , I can't pass a certain amount of tracks with out my audio engine going dead and then if I restart it works, Also many other scenario cause the audio engine to quit, such as a simple save, an audition of loops ect.
Support said it could be corrupt files so this is why I reinstalled , Guess what.. I now get no audio at all.. I do get audio if I audition a loop that works . It's just the transports dead now , What can it be NOW!!
I have different sound devices , Tascam fw 1884, M-audio delta 1010, stanton open , Kore 1, all work with the 8.5..3 with no  probems,.

Just reload the image you made before you reinstalled everything. At least you'll be back to sem-working.

You did make an image right?

Are you using ASIO?  If so, are all the separate audio programs set to the same bit depth, sample rate and buffer size?  I noticed that when switching between applications, if they were set differently than the audio driver, it would cause the audio driver to hang and had no audio in any applications afterwards.

Only a system reset released the audio driver and restored sound.  I use an RME Fireface via Firewire - RME said it's the  host applications not releasing the driver properly - but given I upgraded to the new RME interface the same time I upgraded to X1, so don't know which variable is causing it just yet.

First, I wouldn't let any software give you a stroke or heart-attack.

Something with your install is "foobared".
Take a deep breath, relax, and start with a fresh Win7x64 install on your new SSD.
Once you have Win7x64 installed and up-to-date, install the driver for your audio interface.
You are running a quality TI chipset FW controller, right?  The Tascam units are finicky about the FW controller.
Once you've gotton to this stage, install X1.  Ensure basic audio recording/playback functions as expected.
If so, I'd create an interim backup image file... and proceed with loading plugins.
After loading a couple of large bundles, update them to the latest versions... and run a few quick tests to ensure all is working as expected.  If so, proceed with the remaing installs.  If not, take some time to trouble-shoot.

    Best Regards,

LOL Thanks Jim..:)  Its so weird its like X1 was a time bomb, it Seemed to be working fine since day one until I did the x1a patch thats were everything went down hill , It actually work with the x1a patch then about 4 days later , everything was dead in the water, Did a reinstalled used x1 without x1a and all seemed Ok, then I installed x1a again and it was dead right away, used the hot fix and it worked a few days later , I started having memory problems ,then problems when I hit save I would lose transport control until restart,. Problems auditioning loops transport would cut out.. Did as tech support told me to do , and now I cant use Asio drivers at all ..
I have pull my hair out spent a ridiculous amount of time trouble shooting , I m going to do exactly as you said , when I get My w7 pro next week I will Install it to a nice clean SSd, That I bought a few weeks ago ( Agility 2 Ocz ).  I am using an adaptec PCI Firewire card  Ti of course. Been so since sonar 6.

D/l very well could be the culprit I have no idea. Even if I bought the disks I still have to download x1a , Thats the reason why I opt out of buying the disk.BTw I don't hook my DAW up to the internet ever, I only use my Macs for internet surfing/ downloading ,then I transfer everything via an External . I been burnt years ago learned my lesson . NO internet .I Never had a virus in 20 years with my macs. Pc's well thats another story..

ok djj the only thing you can do is update the bios and run the
latest chipset drivers for win7 and the install has to be good. then
and only them could you install x1a now the sadd thing is im runn
-ing a 9550 on a asus p5q perfectly and your intel x48 and not
running well at all and i see that there is not realy supporting win
=7 on that board, you have to try tomorow proper build and if that fails you have to move on x-1 has issues but not to your level and your not alone.. go try

Even if I bought the disks I still have to download x1a

why?  the download is available but it's not required.  if you buy the disks you don't have to download.  I had problems with the download so when my disks arrived I installed from them.

I'm not saying that is your problem, I just wanted to make sure it's clear that buying the download + the disks does not mean you have to download.
