I was having crashes all the time with X1.  I updated the motherboard bios per startekh's suggestion and that "seemed" to help.

Do not ever update firmware of any sort, especially the BIOS. unless you are pretty sure that it is what is causing your problem. A botched BIOS update can brick your machine and leave you without a computer.

I was fully aware of the risks when I updated the bios.

Anything further i can help with ask ..jon

The following are the minimum recommended system requirements for SONAR X1 Producer.

  • Windows XP Service Pack 3 (32-bit)/Vista Service Pack 2 (32- or 64-bit)/Windows 7 (32- or 64-bit)*
  • Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.67 GHz/AMD Phenom Quad Core 9750 2.4 Ghz
..Grum.

I did not realize that his CPU falls short of the minimum specs. I guess the 3.2 Ghz at face value seems sufficient. OP might want an upgrade. :)
Apologies, I didn't realise that a D was the forerunner to the E**** type that I associate with Intel Dual Cores (the guy did say it was dual core at the start of all of this!). The above minimum specs do back-up my thinking but I don't mind admitting I was nearly wrong .

Grum.
