Certain VST programs wont open in Sonar 8.5

 Just recently updated my PC to run windows 7 64 bit and now running sonar 8.5 producer. I have successfully Installed GURU and NI massive as well. They work on stand alone but cant be inserted into any projects within 8.5 producer. There listed but when i go to open them up i get an error message stating they may be installed improperly. Why is it sonar can list them but they wont open? Ive tried putting the dll into the various folders within cakewalk but nothing. My Cakewalk vst adapter also states there installed and working properly. What am i missing here? Guru works by itself and i can view Massive. Cannot be added to projects.

    I must add that i installed the 64 bit version of 8. Does anyone know if guru or massive is 64 bit capability?

    (Running Producer 8.5 on 64-Bit Win 7)


    Having the same issue!! Specifically with Massive 1.1.5! Stand alone runs fine. Shows up in Producer but clicking on it brings up error message. VERY ANNOYING!!

    I can't comment on the specifics here but JBridge will often enable a 32 bit VST that does not respond well to Sonar's bit bridge to run correctly. Its worth getting the demo and trying it out. A lot of people prefer JBridge in any case. Jao, the developer is very helpful and is continously developing the program.  http://jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridge/

    if you move the .dll file for a plugin you must run the VST scan again. have you done that?
