I am having a plethora of issues with the VST scanner when it gets to my ilok licences.

Any advice on how to get SS4, Sound Toys, Waves etc all loaded on X1 Producer 64 would be appreciated.

I even tried a fresh Windows/X1/Waves install and had problems as soon as the VST scanner found the Ilok.  X1d.

If you've reinstalled Windows I expect you've probably screwed up the iLok settings somewhere along the line.

What is showing in your iLok account as being registered?

Hmm,  interesting.  I bought an iLok 2 a few weeks ago but hadn't got around to using it as every time I tried to confirm its existence on the iLok web site I got a 'not found'.  I discovered the flabbergasting reason:  this cutting-edge company hasn't updated their online verification process to work with most of the browsers we've all been using for a few years.  I tried again the other day (I use IE9) and for reason it worked this one time.  But with this intermittent flakiness, combined with the information in some of the posts above, I've decided not to use the iLok until I'm happy it's become 100% reliable.

My stuff

Interesting indeed.

I had to bite the bullet & fork out for an iLok, just so's I could run EWQLSO which I recently purchased.

I plugged it in and it was instantly recognised by the system, went straight to the iLok website where I was prompted to open up an account and register the software.

The only blip in the entire process was, as you probably guessed, user error on my part, where I had installed a different part of the software than the one I had authorized, therefore the one I was trying to use wasn't recognised <doh!>

I thought the whole point of an ilok was to be able to use it on different machines?

When I log on via ilok.com, all of my licences are registered/listed.

Yes, but if you've reconfigured your machine I bet something has gone awry with whast machine it THINKS it's plugged into.

Have you checked your iLok account?

Yep.

You have to, to re-install the drivers etc.   Looking at your sig, you don't have an ilok right?

By the way, the non ilok Waves 9 plugins I have work/scan fine.  They are 64 bit and have software authorizations.

OK I figured it out... It was windows DEP settings.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Change-Data-Execution-Prevention-settings Security was not letting the activex aspect of the ilok to work, even though it was a trusted site.
I followed the directions above, rebooted, and everything ilok came back to life.

Sound Toys devil lok...It's been so long...

BTW you would think Ilok tech support would know about that...I got some dog**** advice from them over 10 day period.
