I just wish that Sonar had a as scripting and extension system similar to what Sony Vegas has - many of the one-off features that might not be economical for cakewalk to implement might be something independent free and/or paid developers might do. It would benefit the user as it would be possible to create solutions for unique uses and it would benefit Cakewalk as well as these solutions would be specific to Sonar.

Maybe its time that Cakewalk / Gibson  have a formal chat with Makemusic who create Finale...

The market seems to have consilidated during the last few years...    AVID-Sibelius,  Pre-sonus-Notion,  Steinberg +(old Sibelius staff)..

Form an educative point of view Sonar needs better implementation of score view..... kids will learn to use certain programs at school since it has a better SV and won't move out of their comfort zone. Thus....  making it harder for Cake to attract customers....
But, then what do I know ....  I just teach 300 kids a week some music...........

They've ignored this request for almost a decade.

All this talk of notation software has me eyeing my christmas stocking.

I just noticed that Notion is on sale at 50$ and, if that's not enough in itself, both Sibelius and Finale have pretting attractive crossgrades offers from Notion.  140$ for Finale 2014 and 200$ for Sibelius 7.

So which should it be ?
