"Star Trek" the motion picture, "Titanic" and just about every 3D horror flick from the 50's #1 worst in that category "Robot Monster" with "It came from outer space" being a close 2nd. They just can't make movies that awful anymore

I have to admit Bupa was right. I consider myself a connoisseur of the really bad movie. Here is my basic premise. If you think about movies and rate them on the face of a clock, where 12 noon is the best and 1pm is slightly worse... By the time you get to 11, they are so bad that they start getting great again. I love Ishtar! I have watched it tons of times. Hot fudge love, cherry rippled kisses - I'm leaving you love in my will how much better song lyrics Plan 9 is also one of my favorites, though I think you should watch it then watch Tim Burton's Ed Wood. My sugggestions for those of you who want to watch bad movies and enjoy them: The story of Ricky O http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0102293/ Candy (1968) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062776/ The Magic Christian http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0064622/ The Trip http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062395/ Barbarella http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062711/ Classics all! Oh cheesy Sci Fi is great too The mole people The flesh eaters The monolith monsters Flesh Gordon And while i love MST3000, they did make fun of certain great sci fi classics like This Island Earth The Pod People The Brain that woudlnt die To me a horrible movie is one that was hyped up to be great, but by my scorecard was not. Titanic Indiana Jones and the invasion of the ETs and destruction of the fan base (or whatever that last one was called) Oh one of the few movies I actually ever walked out on Caligula It was beyond my ability to stomach.

However, having gone to see Monolith Monsters as a kid and enjoyed it....well...(I was a kid).

This one's so bad it's classic (Joe Strummer and Elvis Costello amongst the cast): In fact most films that have a well-known music star in them have a high likelihood of achieving great turkeydom. Even moreso if that music star is David Bowie.

It is actually very interesting to read this thread and try to build a picture of why this person hates that film. Did he have problems in human relations that day? Does he have intolerable nephews that make him hate anything the kids like? ...
I mean, the title is "Worst movies of all times" and we have, IMO, quite decent stuff listed here among the serious contestants. And of course, some people may hate the film if they don't like the subject/theme of it, even though the film is maybe quite properly done, and vice versa.
There really are lots of variables :o)
