Whoa.... to you ...oh...earth and sea...
for the devil sends the beast with wrath.....
because he knows the time is short.....
let him who hath understanding.....
reckon the number of the beast.....
for it is a human number...
it`s number is.....
666

So if JESUS rose from the DEAD
Does that mean he`s the ORIGINAL ZOMBIE?

I love your velvety masterpiece.

Violin and string work are phenomenal.

One observation; in the last 8 measures 2 different vios compete at the same octave melody.  You probably meant that for emphasis in the finale (before the outro chimes) ... which I appreciate.

If not for emphasis though, I'd possibly have 'broken' one vio a bit more, or tightened it off-beat in a bar or 2, or changed it into one of your loving counterpoint melodies ... like in the rest of this lovely piece.

Still this is my fav solo/duet of yours to date.

Hi Phil,
Thank you for your kind words and observations. The octave was intended for emphasis, just as you had guessed.

That was just beautiful, Scotty, and it was really good of you to share it again in memory of Jimmy.  Beautifully played... I was trying to figure out how many overdubs you did, but gave up and just sat back and felt it.

Thank you, Phil. I don't know how many overdubs I did but I'm thinking it might have been four fiddle tracks, a bass track, an acoustic guitar track and some chimes.

That is a very pretty tune, Mister Scotty.  You are a musically creative dude...but everybody already knows that.

My best to you.

I must get it from you, Mr. Larry. Thanks for listening, my rebel friend!

This one's a hard pill to swallow Scotty..Wonderful tribute to Jimmy. A fitting, country/bluegrass farewell.
