You know where Space Cowboy comes from?  True story bro.
I moved to Fairhope when I was 16.  Evidently I looked exactly like some guy named Maurice Caine.  People kept coming up to me - while I was playing my ovation 12 string down by the Fairhope Pier - and saying "Maurice?  I thought you were in boarding school in Guam."  Then we would take some herbal teas, or whatever.  


So People called me Maurice.  I was a picker.  I was a smoker and a midnight toker.  Then that song came out - Su Su Sudio - no - The Joker.  


I have been the Space Cowboy ever since."
