Good Morning Good Morning - Big Daddy

Big Daddy is a great group, I have a few of their albums. They redid Sgt. Pepper to the music of famous doo-wop songs from the 50's and 60's. It's almost as good as the original album. Here's their YuoTube Channel if you are in to this kind of thing. Some of the songs are better than the original. The legend of Big Daddy.

Sounds interesting.  I'll check them out.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

Do!  I bet Frank is L-ing his AO wherever his spirit is residing.  Electric Aunt Jemima is an absolute hoot.  This is not the sort of thing you'd listen to on a regular basis (and a little goes a long way), but it really is very unique and delightful.  I haven't heard the Dead covers ... that just strikes me as a little too weird, but I should probably keep an open mind until I actually get a chance to hear that CD.

In a similar vein, have you heard Hayseed Dixie?  Bluegrass covers of metal songs.  They do a lot of unusual tunes from AC-DC, Mountain, and Led Zeppelin.

This just in ... visited amazon.com to see what the Persuasions have been up to.  Since I last checked they've released an album of Beatles covers and (hard to imagine) U2 covers.  I'm definitely intrigued by the Beatles arrangements.
