You can also Do This and it looks like fun to me.
That looks like fun even if you didn't have a rodent problem...... I have a problem with flocks pigeons sitting on my roof (by the front door) and cleaning up the never ending bomb droppings on my walkway. Someone said to put a fake owl within their sight....or maybe I should just order a propane tank and try an alternative method?

Mesh, may I suggest using the Propane Glove (as shown in post #24)? Not only can it be quickly concealed as the sirens approach, but you can also have a snack. (Tastes like chicken...) NOTE: Flame Resistant Undershreddies sold separately. For outdoor use only. Not to be used as a cigarette lighter. Use of this product to launch fireworks is discouraged. In case of self immolation, stop, drop, and roll into the neighbor's yard. You never really liked him anyway.

Thanks Bubba!!  I knew I could count on your experience and get an approach from a true scientific mind. I'm a bit hesitant to use the "stop, drop, & roll" method on my neighbors yard as they have a desert landscape with jagged rocks....

As seen in this photo, a taser can, apparently, be utilized to not only drop former Pearl Jam members, but can also cause its victim to travel in time. It could be interesting to see what you could do with winged test subjects.

Get some Avitrol... you feed the pigeons regular corn for a few days, maybe a week. Then feed them corn treated with Avitrol, they will flop around on the ground for 30 minutes or so and then they will leave the area. I did that at a convience store once... there were pigeons flopping and staggering all over the lot but that was the last they saw of them. You have to be careful that there isn't an animal nanny around, they might cry... but it works! Heck with them, it is legal and it works and if they cry it could be a little more entertainment. You could tell them that the pigeons are all dying a slow painful death. The person will fly off the handle and the pigeons will fly away, laff (actually one or two may die) but when they become a nusience you have to deal with it. Then again, some people call the squabs!
