keith Rain Not sure what I'd grab as a freebie though. I could get Sampletank XL - but I have a very good sampler in Logic, and though ST is nice, I find navigating through the patches in the tiny screen a bit unpleasant. ST3 is "right around the corner"... i.e., Real Soon Now. I'm sure the UI will be overhauled, since the Tiny Text Syndrome has been complained about for years. Also, major update to content to compete with the mega-sample products out there in the market these days... kontakt lib, halion 4, independence, etc. etc. If you could get ST for free my guess is you'd get a nice u[grade path to ST3, if that interests you... Yep, that's why I'm still evaluating. It's one of the options. If they could make it at least as large as the rest of their plug-ins (which technically wouldn't need to be that large ;) On the other hand, I'm not sure how much more samples I really need. I have EZ Drummer and Steven Slate for drums, and dozens of other kits in EXS24. I have Imperfect Samples for pianos, as well as a few pretty good ones in EXS24 and a piano expansion for ST. Maybe bass - I can't carry a bass with me. But to be honest I'm not all that excited w/ the SR bass expansion I bought from IK - I'm still using the ones from the Jam Packs in Logic. For the time being, I'm back to writing/arranging rock, so my needs aren't what they used to be.

Fog Rain My own shopping experience w/ them as been rather pleasant, but I guess that your location plays a big part into that, as Fog's experience seems to indicate. you buy in USD $ , and I'm sure that supported ? so you know exactly how much are things are.. If a company is going to sell in the UK then quote £.. NI do the something with euro's, it's normally less in euros but still . IK are "ok" as a company so far for me, they got back in touch with me support wise etc. the negatives that they want money to transfer a license + they want money for you to download soundbanks after 30 days and their time limited. compared to others that's really quite minor on the scale of things. the problem is , apart from the 2 amps for singles.. thats all I want from them now , I think there are others in the same boat, so offers in reality mean nothing. it would have been good if they offered both the black/white things as a bundle for those who had the majority of their other products.. e.g. $20 / £10 off or something. I bet loads have more than 1 product due to group buys etc. I get your point. I actually pay Canadian $, but the difference is of course minor - I save a few bucks on the US price on bigger orders, at most. But I can see how this must be a pain. I didn't know about the license transfer - admittedly never considered the option. As for the 30 days limit, though I usually back up everything on an external HD, I can imagine... Are those prices indicated anywhere on their site? For me, CSR was pretty much the last thing left that I really needed, so yes, I'm sort of in that boat too. The metering suite would be a nice addition to my rig, though not as essential. But, anyway, I'm buying it because of the 30% off, the 2 for 1 really is sort of a bonus.

I bet loads have more than 1 product due to group buys etc. We promised our users that bought the Black/White compressors not to under cut them on the price during the summer. We are keeping our word with that. Fog it started on the 8th .. why did I get the email today on the 11th .. not impressed.. if your gonna offer customers that offer.. don't cut off 2-3 days!! I'd like the cart to be far better.. as you never know about tax etc.. right till the end.. I pay in UK £... NOT euro's.. that makes it an annoyance also.. as you never know till the end how much it ACTUALLY is same again with jam points.. why do I have to convert them to a voucher.. the shop should sort that out and max it out e.g. up to 50% ? IRC also that 50% I can apply to the total WITH the tax ? or pre that ? some companies I deal with, the buying process is FAR easier while others over complicate it (IK being 1 of them) Ahh we just redid our web store too. :( You can just enter in how many Jam points you want now in the new store. No need for a voucher. The 50% PRE tax. Rain Starise - I don't see it on the web site, and they've been strangely quiet about this particular offer - no big announcement on FB either. On the other hand, AudioMidi announced 30% off on all IK products - which is basically the same as using the promo code when buying directly from IK. Seems that not everyone on their mailing list received the e-mail at the same time or just yet - I know this happens w/ many other companies, hence the reason I posted it here for all you guys to be advised as soon as possible. My own shopping experience w/ them as been rather pleasant, but I guess that your location plays a big part into that, as Fog's experience seems to indicate. Thanks for spreading the word! :) Starise Thanks for the heads up. Since I already participated in the buy one get one free not sure if that would exclude me........Hmmmm I could always get my wife to join up. Hope OBIs not reading this. A lot of people buy in more than once! ;)

Anubis IK Obi Okay guys to clarify. You CAN use double jam points for your purchases but buying a T-Racks Singles doesn't get you in the group buy. What!? Please elaborate? What do you mean by double jam points? I have 80 jam points. Does this mean I now have 160 to use? I'm also lost on this "use double jam points for your purchases"...... I bought the Black 76 last night & paid $50 out of my pocket (I had $94 in Jam points) and it used 49 points....so, I have no clue about this "double jam points" thingy as it didn't reflect on my purchase. (I was hoping that I would've also got the 30% discount WITH my jam points.....but, that was just plain wishfull thinking).

The way I understand it, you get double Jam Points as a reward (instead of receiving 8 for a $100 purchase, you probably had 16 added to your bank). So my guess is that if you had 94, used 49, that would have left you 45. 8 would have been added for a new total of 53. But with the current promo, you should have received 16 making your new balance 61.

Yup - I should have mentioned that - I wasn't absolutely sure of the percentage, but I remembered seeing 8% here. Oh well, 9% is even better. Fog mentioned issues w/ NI earlier... It's twice that I'm trying to buy the Scarbee Bass from NI online. Not only do they make me jump through additional hoops creating a new secure Visa profile, but I get errors every time and cannot buy. If that bass library was available in any other format, I'd be so glad NOT to buy it from NI... EDIT - Add to that that the NI web site seems to completely lost all my user profile info which I have to re-enter yet another time and all the various errors I get (being re-directed to their pro page when I click check out). Man, NI SUCK!!! RE-Edit - And now it locked me out!! :s Way to go NI, you bunch of delicate geniuses!

Last night I ordered Fender Deluxe from IK. When I ordered it I used the 15YEARS promo code and did get the 30% off, great!. The last time I participated in the 15 years promo there was a link to download a free product in the user area under "promotions". This time There is no link and no doubling of points either. Since I ordered the downloadable version on a computer that is not my music computer I have not had a chance to get on my DAW and refresh my A3 and custom shop. Maybe this is why I don't have the promo double points or the other free product? or have I misunderstood the deal?

Doesn't seem to make sense. You should see your JamPoints and your link to a free download on IK's web site as long as you're logged in, no matter if it's from your DAW or not. You might want to send a PM to Obi, just in case he doesn't check this thread for a while...

Hey I'm here. If at anytime you need more immediate help please hit us up on Twitter or Facebook. There is always someone around on one of those two. As for the group buy problem. After you install and register it you'll get a link for the free product. The system is triggered by the registration after you install. Then you get the new one. This is so people who buy from a store or a 3rd party can also get the freebie. :)

OK Obi thanks. I got it all sorted out. For others who might not know, you need to register the product you buy in order to get any credit for either jam points of the free item. I actually turned down an invite from friends tonight because I could not lay the guitar down, and I'm not even a primo guitar guy. The Fender Deluxe is worth every penny.

Obi - am I missing something or presets cannot be saved for individual components in Amplitube? There's a particular eq setting that I would love to be able to load in the rack, as it seems to just work for me, no matter what pedal/amp/cabinet I put in front.

This - and my newly acquired Soldano and '65 twin models - may very well push AT at the top of my favorite amp sim list. I seem to be getting frequent (almost systematic) crashes in standalone mode when trackpad-right-clicking in the effect rack though. :s

Okay...I just reread the posts....got it...Damn, I'm sorry I missed the 30% discount last week OBI: I want to get in on the group buy...I have alot of IK products already and would like to get Amplitube. I would get this at the crossgrade price - 15%...is that correct? Also I understand that Custom Shop is now part of Amplitube (hope I'm right on that)....does Amplitube have every amp in there (all the Fender models, etc.)? Or are some of the packs separate purchases? Thanks

It doesn't come with it (meaning you still have to buy the custom stuff). Also, Amplitude is the base Amp sim program (a mighty nice one) but the Fender sims are a separate paid module just like the Hendrix, Metal, etc. HTH

Amplitube 3.5+ is the Custom Shop app. What they've done is take all of the legacy gear models from AT2, metal, SVX, etc. as well as the newer models like Fender put those models under a single product suite. Some, but not all, of the legacy models were updated to use new model technology (e.g., the modelling technology used by the Fender product). When you install AT3.5 you can unlock your existing gear using a "Restore My Gear" option or something like that. So if you previously owned, say, AT2, SVX, and Metal, then all of those gear models will be unlocked when you do the restore thing. There was an issue w/ migrating any custom presets, IIRC, that I'm not sure was ever resolved. In addition AT3.5+ includes new gear models not available in any previous products that you can unlock separately through individual gear purchases via the Custom Shop doohickey... e.g., Soldano, Orange, etc. not available before Custom Shop... Make sense?

I had thought that it would be integrated into the A3 .5 GUI.It doesn't seem to show up in the browser of A3.

You need to open AmpliTube's Custom Shop and click on "restore my gear". It will add any other packages you own that way.
