Microsoft Security Essentials question

So my Kaspersky account is going to expire in a few days and I know there's been a fair bit of positive comments about Microsoft Security Essentials here on the forum.

To those of you who are currently using Microsoft Security Essentials, I'm assuming you're connected to the internet. Have you found it to provide adequate protection or did you have to get something else in conjunction with it? Also more interested in people who are using one computer for their home use as well as DAW use. Thanks,

Just want to be sure if I do get MSE I'll be okay. I'm going to google MalWare Bytes now

Is MalWare Bytes compatible to run concurrently with MSE?

I just noticed Kaspersky Internet Security is on for $20... I might just go with what I'm familiar with and know has worked.

My DAW is also my home computer and I also have been using MSE (1 year +). I've used the free versions of AVG & Avast as well in the past and MSE is much better than those two (IMO). Basically, MSE is very non-intrusive and zero bloatware, but with full functionality. It's set up to scan at 3:00am when I'm not on the DAW and I've never had any virus's, trojans, worms etc...on my PC (then again, I don't visit any of those "hazardous" sites).

I also use the free version of Advanced System Care by Iobit to keep my PC regularly cleaned (malware scanner, cookies/browser history, registry cleaner, removes spyware/adware etc..) to keep it optimized for better performance. It also monitors my PC's performance in real time and has a fast/good defragger.
