Just added Studio One Pro to my arsenal.

Not sure I'll use it but I've spent $99 on a few things I have not used yet either.

I get irritated with Sonar, particularly when it makes me hit a wrong note or play out of time.
I hate that feature.  There should be a way to disable it in audio.ini.

My takes are always perfect as long as I don't press record.

I ought to file a bug report as it is consistently repeatable.

That's because you guys bought the "Producer" edition - it wants you to experiment a bit. You need the upcoming "Virtuoso" edition. There's also the Deluxe Prima Donna edition, but none of us is good enough for that one.

I can't afford the Virtuoso or Prima Donna editions.  Guess I'll have to settle for the "Mediocre" edition...

Just a little.

If I could do this kind of thing in Sonar as easily I'd prefer to use it rather than resorting to another app.

To the extent that I currently use a DAW (very little ... but hopefully that will change before too long), I only use Sonar (and only X1 at that).  I'm still a little worried about the stability of X1, but hopefully that will resolve itself by the time I really need it.

I only do sequenced synth orchestrations, which means I have no need for live recording features.  There is one thing could draw me away from Sonar and into another camp: a DAW with superior tempo editing capabilities.  Sonar comes up short in this regard, but so does every other DAW I've looked at.  Sonar is at least on a par with the best of them.
