There will always be great musicians and bands but as always, the really good ones will be the ones that through some circumstance or another are prepared by having 10,000 hours under their belt when the opportunity comes.

Maybe the 10000 hour rule of thumb is a good way to make instrument virtuosos but maybe it should be paired with that physics rule of thumb where you are past it once you are thirty.

Paul McCartney wrote "Michelle" when he was about 15 I think. How come he now produces crap when he must have long passed the arbitrary 10000 hours?

thanks again for the conversation and backwoods, i would have to check my beatle facts, i have a vauge recolection of the history of michele and i think it might have been 1960 when michele was concieved.  it def has somthing to do with lennon's and mc holiday to france in 1960 this is when lennon got a hundred pounds from an aunty for his birthday. it was either 60 or 61, also the i love part of the track was lennon's idea based on nina simone.

the reason mc got so **** was nobody tells him no, which is what george and john did.
