Jonbouy, Have you actually used the Pro Channel?
No, do you have any true specs on it that would convince me I'd need it?
Perhaps you just buy stuff that people tell you is real cool.
Johnbouy
I just don't get why you are dragging stuff down that you haven't even tried. I don't have any desire to convince you of anything. I upgraded to X1 because I have been using Cakewalk stuff for years and trust the brand. I have been using X1 since December 2010 and have no regrets whatsoever. I also have had very few problems with it.
Why don't you download the free demo and try it out before you knock it? I just don't get it.
I am trying to support the brand that I know and trust so that they can continue to develop great products. How are you helping?
I'm helping myself by trying to ascertain what I'm
actually getting if I make a purchase.
Why is that difficult for you to understand?
This is a commercial vendors product site and I'm seeking value for money from a firm and a product that's already convinced me in the past to buy and incidentally that I am still overall happy with. Frankly what I'm seeing just now looks like more froth than beer, just to me maybe. You are of course entitled to your own view which may well differ.
Kindly explain to me where and why my views of what I'm seeing are wrong. Now that would be helpful rather than trying to undermine the validity of what I am saying because to you it sounds like some kind of blasphemy or whatever it is that irks you about me trying to make a purchase desicion.
btw I don't remember having an opinion on what you choose to buy or don't buy, and I'm unlikely to in the future. So either explain where what I'm seeing is mistaken or kindly leave me alone in my quest.
Thank you.
As a reminder these I understand are the things provided for $49 in Expanded.
1/ The ability to add standard VST's that have been specifically nobbled only to work in Pro Channel.
2/ A Reason 3 (or greater) style combinator device to combine several FX into one.
3/ An extra notation program output format.
4/ Direct uploads to Soundcloud.
5/ Replace Synth
6/ Dragging into the Browser
7/ Whatever we're forgetting or haven't been told yet
Then you add $49
You can then get the PC4K S-Type Expander / Gate ProChannel module.
Or get the Expanded and the module together for $79 + $99 to migrate to X1
Have I got it right or not?
$179 would be great value to me if it provided some capability that I don't already have.
