Rick, not too different for me - I absolutely love what you have done.

Hello Janet..........It's always nice to hear (see) you say you enjoy my playing.  makes my day.  thank you!

Scotty...................Rock opera would be fun.    I once wrote an operetta for 4 voices and piano.  it was a blast.      Thank you for the boost!!!

Mark........................I'm very happy you liked this.  I was not sure if it was going to be palatable.  Thank you for the big surge of 'yesss'!

Darin.......................I checked 'em all out.  Very good songwriting (was not surprised in the least with that) and the mixes/arrangements are stellar.  Your voice is extraordinary!

Guitarprima...................I will investigate that last clip.  I recorded the vocals way too hot so there were many clips i had to control...missed that one.  Thank you for validating this mix and letting me know i'm going in the right direction!

Hi, Rick,

Very cool song, and a bit different than your usual stuff, but it still has your Reckless Gents stamp on it.  The vocals, piano and strings all sound great in the mix, and the song has kind of a unique "one on one, in the room" vibe that gives a feel of isolation that seems to fit the song nicely.

Well done, Rick!

I put a re-sung mix up as recommended by John and i think it has some stronger qualities to it.  I appreciate all the help you've all sent my way.
Thank you.

Not been around for the earlier versions, so can only comment in terms of this one..........

My initial reaction was................hmmmm, not sure if he's gonna carry this off, yet by the end I'm thinking......well yeah, he did actually, fair play. Very creative as ever. Gents but not gents.

So, did you sack the rest of the gents or are they just on vacation ?

Well Rick, this is not one of my favorite songs of yours but I really like the production. You certainly put a lot of work into this one and it shows. You succeeded in minimizing the effect of the dissonance so that it is a prime feature but not the least bit obvious. Well done.

Rick,The remake on the vocals was quite good, for what the song style is and how it had to be sung. I have to give you credit for sure, I don't know ifI could ever attempt anything of this complication and for certain I would have messed it all up. It almost seems it should be in some kind of a play write. Very, very interest piece to say the least. The vocals are for me much better than the original version. Lots of various ranges to meet up with and very complex, to say the least. Very nicely done. Sounds like some bass in the background could come up just a bit, but a nice piece of work.

Blessings, John
