But the music I try to make is retro prog rock (there is an oxymoron for you!) and my gotos for synths sounds are Minimonsta, Korg legacy Mono Poly, Pentagon and occasionally Triangle, with these I usually find a preset as a starting point and tweak it . I purchased Z3ta +2 to get something different on my pallet. In that context most of the presets do not do it for me, I think Z3Ta +2 can do what I want but it will mean learning to program it from scratch. There is lots of potential but considerable work needed on my part.
I now I just noticed Xenos Soundworks has a new 70's and 80's pack for Z3TA - http://xenossoundworks.com/z3ta.html I will pay the $5 for this one and hope it gives me the starting points I want.

Its not that i want to make Z3ta sound like a mini moog. Minimonsta does that, I just want to make more rock orientated sounds.

 Rgc + cake ...congrats ...

I'm pretty sure "RGC" is no longer involved (Rene).   At least that's what I heard.

I thought it was common knowledge that RGC and Cakewalk's partnership led to Rene becoming an employee of Cakewalk? Dimension Pro, Rapture, Beatscape..etfc are all his creations while at Cakewalk. I think he's still with Cakewalk?

As has been written several times and confirmed on a thread by Cakewalk, René is no longer working with Cakewalk.  There is a watch on KRV to see if he pops up there.  Z3TA 2 was done in-house without René.

John -- WOW - so it's not just me! I get that ridiculous pause when tweaking some settings in Z3ta+2 and thought maybe it was just my system or too big project. ................................. i get that with everything, touch a knob or fader on any synth and the sound cuts out, but it only happens once, unless its envelopes in the IL sytrus or harmor, where it happens everytime

I wonder how many others are experiencing this.  Obviously we're not alone.
