I have just started using LIVE in rewire Slaved to SONAR x1( for about a day) and I have to agree that they can be mated up as a couple quite well. Sonar has sync and timing issues in the matrix with midi loops and VST i's. It's only usable with 1.5ms latency which for most peoples systems is too low. Thats where I am hoping LIVE might do the trick. Use LIVE scenes and cells instead of matrix and sonar for arrangement (proper transport controls :) ) etc...  
 
There is one major problem I have found so far LIVE's easy mapping of VSTs goes out the window as in my version 8.34 vsts cant be used inside live under rewire!
HOWEVER!!!!! "MAX4LIVE" well what can I say roll your own plugins anyone?

You know... it's weird seeing old posts even from a year ago on here. I'm new so I don't really know what this place was like before but it really seems it's much friendlier and sane these days... or maybe it's just that the wacky threads get bumped back to the top. :-/

the x64 beta of live8 is x64 rewire compatible no?
