Nice job, Herb.  You stay true to the song but put your fingerprint on it.  Great job.  I picked up a Nashville USA Custom tele last summer.  Beautiful guitar.  I have a ESP tele (old one) and I play it more.  Exact same tone and feel but I don't mind nicking it!  It's blue.  Really pretty and it has 3 pickups also.  You did a really nice job on this song.

Warren.... thank you... I've been wanting a tele and I finally got one.... this was a great song to record...... lots of fun...

I always put CCR into more of a country rock category then rock and roll even for the time.  Lodi, Candle in the Window, Someday never comes..... wow, great music all of it.

While the vox is not as saturated/delayed/verbed as much as the haughty original, I think I prefer yours better.  (I mean, "Have you ever seen the rain" doesn't deserve that much thickness in the original (IMHO), lol)

What an excellent tribute and wonderful mix!!!

good version, Herb!  I"m not a huge CCR/Fogerty fan, but this is one of the songs I can stomach and you've done a good job on it.  not too close to the original, but not too far from it either.

Nice production Herb.  I watched a John Foggerty concert on TV the other night.  He played 10 different guitars on the first 10 songs.  You gotta like that!

Daryl: last year my wife bought me his concert DVD.... good stuff.
Glad you liked the tune.

This has given me the thought of possibly doing a few more select covers from time to time. I'll have to see.... I know it sure was fun doing this old favorite.

Herb, my ears are shot tonight.  Maybe shot is the wrong word to use...  tired,  yes, tired.

The ride bell isn't sounding to harsh tonight, but I think I distroyed my hearing with my own abomination...

Happy New Guitar!
Yep, I love me some CCR as well.
Only two bands that I was with that didn't have some CCR in some sets.
I also took the plunge and picked up a Squire Standard Tele which is also made in Asia.
Had a good setup put on it this summer and it plays just like the big boys.
So with the Strat, Tele, and a 1964 Jazzmaster I have had since I was 15, I got my Fender tones pretty much covered.
Thanks for sharing!

Danny.... I fixed the link and moved it to Sound click....

There ya go Herb...much better. That's why I rarely use those some of those sites. Myspace is the worst for that compression thing. This was much better man...thanks for giving me a chance to listen to it without the mp3 artifacts. Nice job brother. :)

Thank you all for listening.... some for the second or more time.

Karyn, I did pull the upper frequencies down to try to reduce the brilliance of the cymbals. Danny, I guess I need to stick with SC for now until I figure out a better place.... come to think of it I also have a reverbnation site somewhere..... I might place my covers up there. ...all two of them.

Really, really well done, Herb. And I even know the original. Drums could use a little work, like has been mentioned. :)

Fine rendition, Herb. Singing and guitars are super duper top shelf. ....bass sounds a tiny bit muddy (i'm being picky)
