As always, nice job.  Big fan of your stuff.   I agree with Philip, a little oriental influence mixed with the celtic.   Very peaceful and tranquil piece.  Sounds great.....

Hi Mark - Sincere thanks and so pleased you like it. I am sure you are right about that Oriental influence and listening to it with that thought in mind I very much hear what you mean. I did spend quite a long time in that region some years ago and no doubt that has stayed in my mind. I distinctly recall hearing a Chinese gentleman reciting that lovely poem "Address to the Haggis" by the wonderful Mr Burns! An unforgettable experience!

Very,very nice composition Malcolmb! I love the flow of this piece and what it invokes. I've heard many folk say that they have no regrets..I'm not one of those people.

I suppose you can add more pads or whatever to this piece as it progresses, but I like as it stands also. You do have a way with emotional content!! I always enjoy your music!

Hi Larry - Sincere thanks and so pleased you like it. I don't think I will be changing this piece - I felt when I wrote it it needed to be simple to keep the rawness although there might be scope to improve some of the violin phrasing - other than that, it's a wrap! Now I need to write a happy song - there's only so much emotion an old guy like me can take!
