I can second that opinion on the Nashville kit. I also had this prejudice cause I am not a fan of most country music but the kit sounds really really good. I have no idea why they pigeonholed the kit by calling it Nashville.

I might give it a try, Carl. I'll have to verify if I can work that out, since my Paypal account is confirmed and tied to a Canadian bank account. Not much a problem to order from anywhere over there, but I'm not sure changing my info to a Russian address will work.

Thanks for chiming in Sidney. :) After checking the various demos, the Nashville kit seems to be the one I'd likely be able to sculpt to fit what I'm working on. The name Nashville made me overlook it at first, but after auditioning it, I realized that it wasn't strictly country sounding - whatever that would be anyway...

The same can be said for the Metal oriented SDX libraries.  IMHO, good sounding drums recorded by seasoned pros in good sounding rooms sound... good.    If you don't apply the over the top producer presets you can use them for multiple genres.

See, that's another one... 

I've been contemplating DFH, Metalheads and Metal Machine because, there is something in metal drums which might work for what I have in mind, but there need to be a bit of versatility in there.

FWIW, I don't think the demos always do their products justice.

Anyway, I might end up picking one of these tonight. I know DFH is the oldest, but it seems a bit less over the top than the 2 others. And it's also on sale at AudioDeluxe. Any comments/suggestions are welcome...

I have Metalheads and DFH, I much prefer Metalheads and think its the most versatile of the two. As they say YMMV.

  Mod, You are absolutely correct. I have used Metal drums in a wide variety of genres. It's all in the processing.
