Ditto the Neil Young and Tom Petty references. I think maybe the drums should vary a bit other than just the occasional fill between verse to chorus and back. Solid as is but a little variety will bring more realism. Regards, Lance

Daryl good commentary there my friend. Much to think about there. Bapu ditto on Mr Young... I like him a lot .... my wife can't stand him Tim thanks for listening. Lance ..... drums are always hard for me..... I tend to use artificial intelligent drummers because I can't program them near as well.

I missed this one Herb. This is hands down my favorite from you. I would agree with the Neil Young comments. Daryl had some good comments, especially those comments that stereotype Christian music. I would tend to agree with that considering where the song might be intended to be sung or played. Gret job!

Thanks Richard... I had to go back and re-read Daryl's comments.

Great song Herb. Of course, anything that sounds a little bit like Young and Petty, I am certainly going to like. The mix sounds really good to me.....then, I am a guitarist and mix like one. It has already been said; this song breaks the mold away from the traditional CCM factory, yet still sounds modern. I did n't have any issues with the bass level, they came across well in my studio. I do like a little heavier bass mix, in songs though; it is usually the first instrument I am drawn too.

Mark: good to see you. I haven't seen you around in a while. Mike: yeah... I think I should have really been a bass player since I love it so much. On of my most fun times playing was when I set in for a few months on bass, in a church band while the bass player was recovering from a broken neck.

This is a great melody, Herb and great playing, of course. I agree that I'd like to hear it a little lower to fit your voice a little better. I LOVE the bass in this, but by saying that, I don't mean that I don't like anything else. Far from it...it's really great all around! And if your 18 year old likes it, then you don't need to waste time asking if we like it! lol

Frank... thanks for the listen..... I had actually considered some harmony but decided against it on this song. This was kind of a rush to write and get recorded. Perhaps on the next one.
