Eric, did the API signal run through the preamp circuit? Did you do a digital loopback or pass the signal through the preamp on the way back into the box? The same for the TC. Both of those units can be routed to come back in your DAW through the preamps. The Lynx and the MBox would require a loopback only as they don't route back through preamps (actually not sure about the MBox). That's probably not clear so let me say it another way. The Line input for the TC and API might be colored by the preamp circuit which is not on the Lynx.
