I hate to bump this up again as I was gone fishing for a week.  Oh yes, that was good!

But I wanted to say thanks,

Mark, John, James, Tom, Scotty, Kev, -  Thanks so much I'm glad you liked the tune.

Warren -  Thanks for the Tip.  I'm thinking real hard about a preamp for my rig, primarily for vocals, but I'm hoping it will double as a bass preamp, at least getting me some improvement.

Tim - Thank you I really appreciate the listen.  I'm glad you liked the tune, I liked it the more it developed, but that's usually the case when you get to know a new tune, even one you write.

Hey, Daryl,

I almost missed this absolutely stunning gem!  This is really outstanding all the way around.  Excellent songwriting, playing and performance, creamy smooth guitar tones, and stellar vocals and harmonies, all sitting in a perfect mix.

The harmony guitar beginning hit me with an Allman Brothers vibe, but then when the vocals came in I started to pick up more of an Atlanta Rhythm Section feel overall, which to me, is fantastic.

Really nice work, Daryl!

Veeerrrry nice!!!!!!  You tell a great story through your lyrics, and the music really complements and accents the lyrics.  Excellent production and performance.

Other than the drums (sorry!), this was terrific and evocative of 1976, right before music got crappy.

You cause me to have awful pangs of jealousy how you easy you write simple yet complex tunes.

Bob -   Thanks, not surprising as we did a lot of Allman Bros in the old days.  God that was over 40 years ago.  Damn where does the time go?!

Freddy - So glad you like the lyrics.  I too like songs with a happy ending, although I tend to often write on the melencholy side for some reason.

James - Yea, my drums always suck (or nearly always). I would probably have about as much luck with a flugle horn since I know about as much on  either instrument.  I keep trying though.  I take no offense.   Thanks.  I find writing songs gets easier and easier with age.  The toughest part of songwriting for me is decideding what the song is about.  I can struggle for days or even weeks trying to decide what the message or story of the song is.  Once I get that part and a hook, I usually finish writing the song in a couple of hours.   I should just write songs and have you record them!
