The youngsters nowadays have got it good because they get the hits of today and also all the songs from the past. And for free too.

Maybe they are missing out in that the smash hits from yesteryear often seem stale and lame when compared against modern songs.

I hear you

I have new hits from today and they are so hot that they burn the meters.
Its no wonder the rock solid tunes from the past don't match up good.

But I get so fatigued from listening to the new stuff that my ears can't take it for to long.

I wish the dynamics would come back but the loudness war seems to be over and they have won.

Percieved loudness sounds better right!

Cheers,

Wave

But put the "oldies" into a proper arena (like an Imax theater) crank up the volume and those dynamics sound pretty damn good!  Add lasers and, um, other seasonings as needed and, well, there you go.

Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!
