I can't remember 50

OMG!  I CAN'T EITHER!!!!

The only thing I can remember about being 50, well, parts of it, was the party we had.

Big changes possibly coming very soon. My wife has a job interview in Kansas City tomorrow morning so we're heading there today in a couple of hours. It all happened in couple of days and usually when things go fast like that it's a good sign. So, we're leaving in a couple hours to head down to KC and we're coming back on Sunday. Kind of a mini vacation/get away. My b'day, her b'day, and our anniversary (our 10th this year, been together 14 years total) all fall within a couple days, so we're going to go have a good time, look at some property, do some KC stuff, eat way too much, and hopefully find a left handed guitar in the $800 range. That's my limit.

Well, better go ...

Many happy returns in advance to you both Bub!

And my best wishes for your good lady with the interview.

Your wife is left handed?
She's one of those weird right handed people. :) Well, I am too, but for some unfortunate reason I can only play gittar left handed.
Happy Birthdays to both of you
Thanks. :)

Happy belated birthday Bub! Glad to hear you found that guitar. Hope you had a good time!Spacey congrats on another year!

I went past the 49 mark last month. I don't feel like I thought a 50 year old would feel ...still bounding up steps two at a time and climbing ladders with the best of them. I hurt slightly more when I work hard but no other drawbacks so far.

I remember 59. It was last November...

61 here last November 22.

All in all:

- 10 was in Brazil (Assis in the state of Sao Paulo). Major event? Raped.
- 20 was in Madison, WI. Major event? Working at the Rathskeller and getting searched by the National Guard and the ROTC when going to work! Really pleasant guys, too!
- 30 was in Santa Barbara, CA. Too busy at UCSB, directing my father's play and being the Technical/Lighting designer and director for the whole evening for the 3 productions. Also did a video of that play that the Portuguese and Spanish Departments never gave a **** about!
- 40 was in Vancouver, WA. Broke, and working for a not so nice family that owned a photo lab, which was good for me, as I could take pictures and tour with a couple of bands and meet Gong and have some serious fun. But work was sad, pathetic, no benefits to speak of and in the end ... malicious!
- 50 was also in Vancouver, and already doing Technical Support for the Internet on a ISP that we took from 12k customers to 24k customers that the owner promptly sold for 15Mil and then a year later bought it back for half price as Millenium raped it, and killed a whole lot of customers. Lived with two of the admins from that place, and one of them was roomie for 7 years, and still good friend.
- 60 was in Vancouver WA. Already at Charter and (today) on my 9th year and fairly happy doing data base entry work. I decided that I wanted a quiet night to myself and simply meditated for  hours and then went to sleep so I could get up in the morning and go to work. I remember writing a few silly posts on the Coffee House, and that's about it!

All in all, I'm having more fun now, older, than I did at any other time of my life. While the only "friends" I have are here on this board, or PA, in essence, I am fairly lonely and on my own and spend a lot of time writing and am working on two books at this time. One on Progressive Music and one ... is not for consumption on a GG rated board like this one, but it will probably be considered "pornography", and I don't care. It is a story about drugs and sex and music, and it has two stories going in opposite directions at the same time. It is, a "total fabrication" of my ideas on drugs and tripping, and it has severe trip elements during drugs, or sex, that I can only describe to you as similar to a couple of visuals and far out stuff that you can only find in a couple of novels by Aleister Crowley and/or Dennis Wheatley. Unlike others, I do not lead this trip into destruction as I find that malicious and not a good road for us all to work on, or learn from!

End of story.

- 70 .. have no idea, and it won't matter to me if I'm there or not. I'm happy the way it is, despite no one giving a merde! As the joke says, I have found the note in the instrument ... and that's that!

As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!
