Someone's been doing their mixing homework... Sounds pretty good there Kev, but it cut off on me.

On my buds, I would make your vox sparkle a but more? Maybe a high shelf at 8Kish?

Nice start kev...it's got a counrty ballad vibe to it(IMHO). I'm hearing a BIG power chorus, and I believe someone else mentioned a key change for the last chorus,(+1 on that) and drop outta that to a piano vocal end.

Good luck
Kevin

Hahahahah!  Musicians are there own worst critics.

Honestly, This sounds amazing (10/10) on all levels to me!

Killer-vox, love-sick rock at its greatest man!  I don't think REO could do better than this (on my AKG k701s ... which never lie).

I'd continue this pop formula exactly as you have it (AS IS).  JMO/IMHO.

I LOVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was seriously sad to hear it end.  In fact, I'm on my third fourth listen now, and that's almost a record.  :)  You sound quite like Michael W. Smith and the song reminds me of one of his, which is probably why it's resonating with me.  He's one of the best, IMO.  Love the piano (except for the sound of it...), love the bass, love the tune, love your voice...you've GOT to finish this!!!

I used to have all sorts of advice to get over the 'funk' but it's hit me big-time too.  Well, working 12 hour days doesn't seem to help anything either.  But whatever happens, please finish this one.  Please! :)

I'm sort of getting the impression that Mama Bear likes this one, eh?
(Better finish it then - she's got a chain saw and knows how to use it!  )

I would like to hear the bassline not do the 1/8th notes.

Drop the piano at the chorus like YoYo said

The melody is good, and memorable, easy to sing.

Put a nice overdrive-fuzz guitar on the down beat of "you live" with a chica-wah......chica-waaaah all whole notes. Then it will sound epic.

Hey, Kev,

Man this is a great start to a killer song!  I really like the piano and the chugging guitar part, the vocals sound really good, and the melody line is dynamite.

So far, the mix is outstanding, I can't wait to hear the finished product.

Nice one, Kev!

Hey Kev,

This is a great start! Nice melody, mix and arrangement, so far.  There are a bazillion directions you could take it...doesn't really matter as long as you're happy with it.

Kind of cruel and unusual to leave everyone hanging after 1:20, though. So, finish it!
