I remember back in 1992-ish (?) as a member of the Cakewalk Forum on Compuserve asking a question, and a Gregg answered it. "Are you THE Gregg...?" I asked. "Yes [blush]," he replied. (True story) I felt as if I was in the presence of Mozart himself. (Embellished story).

Prob'ly stolen goods... I see it's labeled as a loaner. There may be a reward. The music store who "loaned" it to 'im's prob'ly still lookin' fer it. I'd report 'im if I knew who to report to. The manager of the store (who happened to be my brother) gave it to me to use and said I could keep it (it was probably an old version at that point). So no need to call the FBI.

Greg, Thank you for a product that helped me learn and achieve so much in terms of writing, aranging, recording and even just noodling around in music. Without your hard work, wisdom, and patience - my own level of hard work, wisdom and patience in writing, engineering and recording would certainly be less. I caught the Twelve Tone bug back in 1995, reading about it in a magazine and thought how cool it would be to learn more about the new digital tools, and then went out and bought all the hardware and software I needed - yes, I became a gear slut. From that one point in time, my life has changed - albiet in maybe a small way - but I can vouch, for the better. Some may say now "its just a tool" in my toolset, but to me Greg, Cakewalk was a change in my mindset that made a very positive difference. VERY best regards, Lance
