Great song!  On the mix, I would love to hear more shimmering highs.

James,

I havn't heard an Acrobat's Supper tune in a while, but I like this one as much as the others- which is quite a lot. Tim's lyrics are exceptional, as usual. This song has particularly poetic and literate lyrics, and the delivery is superb. Tim has always reminded me of Gordon Sumner, both in his singing and writing, and also in the wide range of subject matter he writes about.

I like the arrangement. Its spare and puts emphasis on the vocal and words. Your part is understated, counter melodic, and it supports the song.

Really  good stuff, as usual.

Cheers,

Bert

Thanks James, appreciate the listen, glad you liked it.

Thank you Daryl..it seems there has been quite a resurgence in folk music here in the last couple of decades, lots of very cool stuff going on. Tim plays out in his local area and is going down well by all accounts. I hope to 'guest' on a couple of numbers one day.

Thanks Tim!

Jan - hope that's 'good wow'.. Thanks for checking this out.

Danny - very nice compliments bro, thank you kindly. Me and the Tim dude go back a long way..well over 40 years in fact.

Indeed it is.  Very nice.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

Sunny, thanks! I did roll off some highs to lose some sibilance...maybe too much then,

Bert! Where the heck have you been sir? Great to see you back, thanks very much for stopping by, and for the very kind words.

Thanks again Jan

Can't ask for more than that Daryl, cheers

Not my cuppa, but I really liked the playing and Tim's vocal was one of the most interesting and stylized I have heard on this forum in a long time.

Hi, James,

Ah, it's always a tasty treat when you and Tim get together again!

Beautiful song, sweet sounding guitar work by both of you, and Tim's haunting vocal style is always amazing.

Thanks James, nice of you to check it out even if it's not a genre you enjoy. Tim will be pleased with your comments on his voice.

Reece - thanks a lot!

Bob - You're a real gent, always there with an encouraging word - it's greatly appreciated sir.

This is really nice. What a great song. I'm sure Jim Croce would love this one.

There is distortion in the vox here an there. I think the guitars could be a little brighter. Other than that, This very well done!

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

Nice. So the Sting-alike does Peter Gabriel impressions too ? Not a bad repertoire to have at all ;)  I like it just the way it is - noise and all - makes it sound very natural.
