Yeah, that was a shame the Chinese being DQ'd in the final as well as GB in the first round.  So both the fastest teams breaking the world record on the way only to be denied on a technicality.

The Mens team sprint pursuit event up next though.

I'd have posted updates but it seems more people are interested in the bus timetables and Boris's antics here.  I'm loving it though some really exciting personal best performances from all around the world.  It's been some fantastic viewing so far.

The US have hit the top spot in the medals table at last.

Michael Phelps has a medal tally higher than many countries have managed to win in the last 12 years.

He's a cool guy and a total legend.  The best Olympian of all time and comes across as one of the nicest contestants too.  He's won over many more fans over here this Olympics.

Go Team USA!

I've been watching some of the shooting but no sighting of her yet.

I watched the Italian Jessica Rossi shoot 99 out of 100 for a WR in the womens trap event, amazing stuff!

Just watched that.  Didn't know he was training with the American runner (who got silver) right down the road here in Portland Oregon.

Congratulations to Team GB for the performance of Jess Ennis!  Another first and she did it in style (if you watched the last event of the Hepthalon then you know what I mean).  Good job!

Great Britain, with six gold medals today, is now up to a solid third in the medal count totals too.

Jess Ennis winning her 800m was a great highlight.

Couldn't believe Bolt looked almost human in the 100m.

Loving these Olympics- UK is putting on a great show.

Did you hear about the doofus that threw a bottle towards the starting line right before the start of the 100m?  Dipstick...

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?
