I've never watch those reality shows - okay, not entirely true I dug the Osbournes ;) - but I'm starting to think that I should start.

Whether I like it or not, I am living in an illusion, I'm the one w/ the problem - people really are that dumb - massively - and they go out of their way for me to be aware. I'm being delusional by ignoring them in order to maintain my own sanity. There is no hope.

Therefore, in all fairness I can't go on ignoring how idiot they can be. I owe it to them to acknowledge their stupidity in all its glory. The world is theirs.

Now where's my gatorade - I need electrolytes...

EMBRACE THE HORROR!!!

Humanity is just barely smart enough to recognize its vast stupidity.  Clearly, we're not wise enough to do anything about it.

I believe it's Kool-Aid that's needed to be in sync.

Heck, I've only watched half of one American Idol show the entire time that show has been on.

Don't leave us hanging buddy. Who was your favorite?

LOL!!!

Well, Randy?

I think it was when Steven Tyler started on the show, and my wife drew my attention to it. I watched for about 20 or 30 minutes and felt he was trying a bit too hard. The whole thing felt cruel to me. Putting poor souls who believe they have something special on display, just to be laughed at and made a spectacle of. That was all I needed to see. I don't begrudge anyone watching reality shows for escapist entertainment. It's their right to watch what they want. Just not for me.

It would certainly be a step up from Alan Partridge.

For true realism on TV, I watch the Partridge Family.  It just doesn't get any more real than that.

To add excitement to a fishing show, add bowhunters on the shore who try to pick off the fishermen.  It would have a tendancy to speed things up in a similar manner to Sniper Golf.
