Danny if I get a chance I will but I can make no promises.
I know I won't be doing anything until I finish building my recliner.
It cratered during the olympics Tues. eve. Yeah..I got a little excited and
bottomed out. I did nail the landing though.
Sure don't mean any bad to whatever it you may have to do with those
links BUT....I like simple. Whatever all that was, wasn't simple.
The unit I linked to is about as simple and cheap as I know of.
No problem brother...if you get a minute at some point, I'd love to hear anything you can share. I just hate when I see something that looks cool yet they don't have any examples of it, know what I mean? I hate installing stuff on my box that I install blindly only to hate it after. LOL!
Yes, you are correct....and nothing bad taken. The newer ABG stuff from Shred on to Head Case, are "tweakers plugs". You can get sounds right out of the box, but at this time, due to them being beta releases, we have not compiled "presets" so you can just up and go. That's coming soon though...so no matter how complex it may be, it will be fine to just hit a preset and go. I've put in about 2 years into the development and testing of the presets I'll be sharing...and the other people involved have done the same. So there will be something for everyone. Classic rock, blues, jazz, metal, blue grass, pop, twang, country, you name it, we have presets for it that everyone has really put time into.
But yeah, for now, because those are not available, it's a tweaker tool. The good thing about that, it's limitless IF you like to tweak and experiment. If you don't, this stage of the beta will frustrate you. That said, the beta I was talking about (with the 22 second load time) as well as the last released version of Shred, have great presets and starting points. So you'd not have any problems there but can still tweak around if you feel the need.
It's kinda like BFD vs. EZD. For guys that don't have the time nor the desire to really tweak and build a drum kit, EZD is the correct choice in my opinion hands down. They have something for everyone that loads up out of the box sounding good with little to no tweaking necessary. For those that want the closest thing to a real kit, BFD is the winner...but you gotta work it just like a real kit and I know this sort of tweaking isn't for everyone. :)
