Drum Maps

Hi.

I have installed X1 over my copy of Sonar 8.5.3  and for a while now I havn't been able to see the different preset drum maps.

I have searched the forum and heard that there's a Vista compatability problem - but I'm using XP.

So what I've done is copied the  Drum map folder to a different drive and under global options set 8.5.3 to view that folder... but for some reason it still doesn't show?

Is there a way to fix this ????

I didn't think it was possible to install any version of sonar over the top of another? They should all install along side each other.

Is there still a drum map folder in sonar 8.5's files? If so you could try just copying the drum map folder contents to that folder.
I have done this lots of times and it's always worked for me no matter what version of windows.

    yeah - alongside...

Yeah its still there.... but nothing show's up...

ok... tried something different...   I copied to drum mpa folder to drive E   and same again.

So copied drum map folder to C: and yep it appears... Why can't sonar access the drum map folder where I want to place it?

There are some folders that can't be moved.
There was a thread about this recently which might have given a clearer explanation.
