Oh I'm guilty as well, I normally log on to GET Distracted...and to be fair I have learned a ton of stuff from just about everyone who post here, post count not-with-standing...

I'm grateful for what the Bakers provide...I was here when it was a coffee house discussion, back when Ted was scolding us all for not owning Detal 1010's...and being idiots because we didn't write jingles for Applebees....the format here has really evolved into a much more honorable discussion and no one gets toasted for asking old questions...

Lots of quality folks here...so the distraction is worthy...

it just seems like very little happens in way of creative discovery process because we all seem a little distracted by our gear and technology lust

Ain't that the truth...

Intellectual "fun" during these discussions not withstanding.

I'm using SOnar Platinium on a 6 core Lynx Audio machine and a ton of vintage pre-amps/eq's/comps I build for fun and sometimes money, REDD.47/API/Neve I also use the UAD stuff, and also use a Macbook Logic 9 through Apogee...
