Not yet for me. I'd like to give it a try though. Nothing new for the integration as it seems, according to Robin in the X2 webinar. Probably all the bugs are still intact ;) Let us know how you find your experience, Cheers!

Let us know yes. I didn't buy in since no one has been saying anything about the VS.

dahjah, Robin Kelly in the X2 webinar said it will work exactly the same as in X1, so if you can live with X1 now and wish to have X2 functionnalities you should have no problems. Let's see what Norrie think about it ;)

"Improved support..."? How about full integration? THAT would be nice. What online help is it referring to I wonder? Cheers.

Hey guys sorry I did not get a chance to do anything yesterday after installation just siting down to start recording now.
I just had a search there and I cant find anything to tell us what the enhancements are :(
I can say on booting the sample track the Display latency is still there !
That grinds my gears :(

Hi Mully. As much as its a pain to know its not as fast as it was with X1c its not a show stopper for me I would like to have seen it back to the way it was but I can work with it :) There is a post here where Ryan from cake explains why it is the way it is http://forum.cakewalk.com...667217&mpage=1#2669875

After scrolling the contents of the manual I see there is no mention of the vs system. There is mention of support for the Euphonix system. It may not be long before we see a "No longer supported" next to anything that says VS. Thanks again Roland.

mmmm I see... the modular concept in the prochannel force the display to take an extra time to gather the right info to display. Not sure I get it right but look like what Ryan was saying. Thanks Norrie for the info! If the integration is on par with X1d I'll jump in. What about takes and automation lanes? Is there any integration with the console?

Automation lanes can all be controlled with the VS-700 You can write the lane as usual. My fader's feel smoother when writing now :)
I have not figured out yet how to control Mute Solo and arm the take lanes yet
Yeah integration is on par with X1D

The arm button works on what is selected right? Is it that you can't select the take lane and use the arm button?

This HAS GOT to be implemented. In X1 you could select and arm layers, right? (However only 8 Layers. My feature request to use the bank-buttons for 8+ layers also did not make it.)

I don't remember Console integration for arming layers in 8.5.3. Perhaps the take lanes haven't got that implementation yet. I'll have to look at it and see.

So, when you arm a take lane, does show armed in the track associated? I'm wondering if having a take lane open gives it pre dominance when selected and arming will show as it does in the track on the V 700C. It is after all a take of that track. No instructions as to using Shift, Cntrl, Alt, etc.? How did we used to arm layers?

How did we used to arm layers? when you arm a track with take lanes on the 700c, the "main" track gets armed. there no way of arming a take lane from the 700c (yet?...) in x1 we didn't have arm for the different layers you can only arm a take lane with the mouse and when doing this the record button on the main track also lit up, which also shows on the 700c.

We'll have to put in a Tech support request. I took a look to refresh my memory. Layers operated automatically once you turned them on. Arm the track to record, it goes right to a new layer. Solo a layer and other layers will mute. Add a layer, delete a layer, rebuild layers-which reorganizes them. I 'd bet take lanes operate the same way. No? Is there an arm to record button, a solo button, a mute button, in the individual take lanes? On the V700C, shift + the tracks button enables layers on the selected track. Same with Take Lanes?
