I'm struggling to get my VRM box to work with X2. 

I'm using with a laptop as the ONLY audio interface. Windows 7/64 recognizes it. The VRM Box app loads and seems happy. SONAR sees the interface and everything seems fine except: no output. The playhead moves but no track meters move, and obviously there is no output. I've verified that the master bus output is set to to the VRM box. 

Unplugging it and connect headphones directly to the laptop headphone outputs makes everything work again. 

Any suggestions?

Don't know about X2 specifically, but my VRM box will only work when its plugged in at computer start up.   I can't decide to try it out in the middle of a session, then it gives no sound, or sometimes gives no sound.   


I also notice a clear lower sound quality than directly from my soundcard headphone socket.   Surely my ancient Sony 7506 are not sounding better than Genelec 1031As?  But, they do.

I've noticed that too. It's not that much worse, but noticeably.
