Right on, guys. It's good to know I'm not the only one who's made this error. I was feeling pretty... uh... not so smart but in the light of a new day I can see I may have been a little hard on myself. There are just so many buttons and doodads... lol. As far as blaming Cake I really have no business doing that because I KNOW 99.9% of the time it will be an error on my part. I've seen a lot of threads where the OP rolls in guns blazing only to see it resolved as a user error or something other than Sonar causing the issue. I don't ever want to be "that guy". I do get frustrated at times (and last night was one of those times) but I am nothing if not persistent. Before I built this rig I was running an ancient hand me down Nuendo system with NO documentation, no support and absolutely NO computer knowledge and I managed to produce an entire album on it from scratch. Took me forever and it's by no means gonna win any engineering awards but everyone that heard it said the quality was great. Even my engineering buddies were impressed and a top notch mastering dude offered to master it for peanuts just because he liked it... but that's not my point. I knew I had to upgrade and I spent well over a year researching computers, hardware and DAWs. Of course I had heard of Sonar but all the guys I knew were Pro Tools/Nuendo freaks. If I had gone that route I'd probably still be saving up just for the software to get it to be even close to the equivalent of my Sonar Suite. So I looked around at all the other options but Sonar kept standing out as the more rounded and cost effective package... but here's the thing that pushed me over the top. This forum gets talked about all over the net. It's legendary for support and that was something I desperately needed. Also all the online vids and tutorials produced by Cake and it's users gave me a real insight as to what to expect from the software. So there you go... you guys actually played a not so small part in me buying Sonar before I even joined the forum. When it actually arrived and I got it all installed there was no doubt I had made the correct decision and now with the release of X2 it looks like even the little minor complaints I may have had will be resolved. Absolutely brilliant. So there's a long winded story for ya but just wanted to let you guys know how much I appreciate what you and the Cakesters do around here. Cheers!
