I actually preferred the "flat" 1850 page PDF manual because I liked to be able to make references to certain page numbers, which you can't do with the online/offline help. The PDF file also had links if you wanted to use them.

If CW don't intend creating one for X2 then fine, I'll source a third party manual, but could we be advised one way or the other first please?

As Michael mentioned, we do in fact have a full Reference Guide available in English, French and German. We will make them available ASAP. We appreciate your patience.

Thanks,

@beepster, mudgel.....

I went to your link in #16, and while the "see more info link"  is italicized, it is not active. Non functional on os6 and android. I'm guessing it may be a while before they address this issue, as it seems they have more critical problems to fix.

I do hope the don't just offer this new online/offline option.

Web help is currently only available for SONAR X2, not the individual plug-ins. The X2 plug-in reference page does not include any active links since the X2 web help cannot link directly to the plug-in documentation. You must open the plug-in online help manually (press F1 when the plug-in has focus).

Thanks,

Ok, nice to know! Vanskelig å hete Morten Sæther uten å være norsk... Var du Cakewalk-fan før du flyttet til uniten?

Downloading now, so a big thanks, yet again.

By the way, the text for the links says "Sonar X1 Reference Guide" but I'm sure it'll be the right one :)

Thanks! Already fixed. My fingers are VERY used to typing X1... it's a weird adjustment to type X2 at this point :)

Hmm... so we can only access the online help for the plugs from our DAWs? I don't keep my system hooked up to the internet except for patches and the like. Is there a link you can provide us that points to these files? I really want to take a closer look at that stuff. Cheers.

Does this mean you are not releasing a PDF reference manual for X2?

I hope they do release a PDF, I keep my DAW off the net unless I'm downloading new software so that would be annoying to have to re-enable my NIC just so I could read the help files.

It really is astounding that they can produce that much info so quickly. I mean even if X2 was ready two months ago that's 2000 pages of in depth material. Amazing.

Hiya Beep. The Overloud stuff comes with their own PDF manuals. I found mine in the C:/ProgramData/Overloud folder.

Yeah, I think I must be misunderstanding something because I could usually get at those types of additional references offline. I guess I'll find out once it's installed. I'm sure most of the plug manuals will be the same as X1 anyway. I just kind of want to access them from my laptop without having Sonar running. I like perusing manuals while I'm drinking my morning tea. ;-)

Now I am a truly happy camper.

I don't know what CW did but they are getting their stuff out awfully fast these days.

All the plug-in documentation is still available offline, same as in X1. In fact, you can still access all available help (X2 and plug-ins) without running X2, and without being connected to the Internet.

Cheers,
