Hiya Noel Borthwick, ive contacted tech support twice now and still no response, i think its pretty harsh considering ive paid for a product i cant use and cant get any help from cakewalk to sort the problem out. I see that there are disks available to buy in the uk, but as i have already paid for the product is there anyway the money can be transfered to a reseller of yours here in the uk, so i can get X2 on disk, as my pc just will not accept this download, because after a week and 2 emails it doesnt look likely im going to be getting any help from tech support, i dont exactly have many options left, apart from forking out for a product twice ! which is ridiculous. Kind Regards Ben

I will have to stick with X1 as there just seems absolutely no solution

Just buy the disks....  You should worry that either your computer or your network is a mess.

I know how frustrating it is when something doesn't work right.  But....there has been lots of people download the exact same files you are trying to download, from the same server, that has not had a problem at all using the files.

I know others have stated that they have had problems with the files too.  But the bottom line is...if they files on the server were corrupted...then all of us that have downloaded them would have corrupted files but we don't.

I downloaded the files using my phone as a hotspot...and using Free Download Manager which by the way seemed to really speed up my downloads of the files.

I do hope you get the problem resolved...and I'm sure the guys at CW will do what they can to help you get it resolved.

i dont think anything can be drastically wrong with my pc startekh, because its been fine with evey other bit of software loaded on, absolutely no problems so it seems pretty strange this one is causing me problems, there obviously is something or a glitch somewhere, but i think its best left to the people that know what there doing, so I think it best i keep waiting for cakewalk to sort this out. I do appreciate responses that have tried to help, fingers crossed i get this sorted next week :-)

Are you sure you have your antiviris (including Windows defender) turned off during the install?

You're kidding? Cake should be sending Ben the disks for free for his troubles. Won't cost them much...
