mute/solo buttons grouped- can't ungroup

After cloning a track I get "grouped" mute/solo buttons. Behaves like a button group, but no button group exists. So I can't find a way to ungroup the button behavior. Very annoying when you click a button and it changes other buttons against your wishes.

I think all you have to do is not use the CTRL key if it is indeed a quick group.   Unless Mute & Solo buttons work differently now?

Cloning a track here maintains full mute/solo independence.

This isn't a Midi track by any chance? I can see this could be a source of confusion because a cloned Midi track will associate itself with whatever soft synth the original is attached to.

It is a midi track. I clone to get headstart on next track with same vst and effect. But then of course I want independant mute/solo. How do I "ungroup", or "unassociate", it?

Not sure you can, or that this is the best way to get a "headstart"

I'd simply drag in another instance of the synth from the browser

As you've already experienced, cloning isn't as straightforward with Midi tracks and you lose a degree of control.
