False Silent Output Warning
"The following tracks and buses are assigned to a silent hardware output..."
I get this now everytime I open a project no matter what, and 99.9% of the time it's false.
Also happens when I change an audio Preferences item.
Is there a way to fix this?

I just had this for the first time last night. Are you using "Sends" instead of the regular output menu dealymabob? If so that is why it is happening. I'll go snag what another helpful forum member posted for me to stop the message from occurring. BRB.

It was Migueleto who posted and it seems I had this problem a couple days ago. The days are becoming blurs. Ooof.
Anyway, try this...
Beepster: Not sure if it is the same issue but I used to get that warning also. For me the fixed was:
Preferences : File : Initialization File
Then create an Option called: WarnSilentBuses
Set the Value to: 0
I personally am leaving mine as it is because I'd rather have the warning in case I truly do screw something up and all I have to do is close the message so no biggie. If I'm completely misinterpreting your post my apologies. Cheers.

Me too as it is true 0.1% of the time.
If it's a bug then I need to file a report.

So it's giving you a warning when you have the actual output set to something (like a bus or master)? I only got the message because some of my outputs were set to "None" but I was using Sends to send the audio to the busses. If the warning is listing tracks that you have the regular output thingy set to send somewhere and you can hear the tracks something hinky is going on for sure. Can't help you there myself. Cheers.

It's almost always the MASTER bus (my final output bus) it thinks is not assigned... when it actually is assigned and works just fine.
When I disconnect the hardware interface then it tells the truth. But normally it's plugged in and working so I shouldn't be getting this message.
X2 also somethimes tells me the audio hardware was disconnected when it wasn't... so there is something fishy going on here.

Weird. Maybe when it happens check to see what outputs Sonar is detecting in the Preferences menu. Might be the interface drivers being wacky. Any new driver updates available that might apply? Cheers.

I see similar with various USB devices, Windows Dev Manager says it's connected & working. Fire up Sonar & it says it's not connected.
I suspect it may be some sort of power saving sleep mode on the USB ports. Sonar pings the USB interface & doesn't get a response in time so considers it offline, or something similar.

Well, it seems Sonar is disagreeing with itself. All the settings are fine, Everything works as it should, But I still get this message.
I am running the interface through a USB router which acts goofy sometimes, but when everything is working as it should I see no reason for this message to occur. It is simply a bogus message.
Maybe Sonar is going senile? Alzheimers or something?

Oh... yeah, hubs are problematic from what I've read. You can't isolate at least one port specifically for your interface? It's kind of important. However I have no idea whether it would cause something like this. Either way if everything is working you shouldn't worry about it. Just close the message. I get a bunch of harmless messages on my system. I don't mind them and screwing around with things to get rid of them is more hassle than just closing them.

I get this all the time and cannot detect a pattern. I just click the "OK...Whatever" button and continue, but it is annoying.
On one project I get this warning on the bass track which is pure audio going straight to master bus with no sends. Other times I get it on audio tracks that are set-up to receive signals coming into the V-Studio interface from external synths.

I was having the same issue with a track; it also turned out to be the Send. I had apparently had a send previously and changed it to "none", and also had the Sends turned off - but it was still giving me the warning message. I deleted the send and got rid of the "bogus" message -- which I guess was only partially bogus...

I had the same. Fixed by deleting any sends that were set to none. Remember to skip through and check all sends on the track deleting all that are set to none.
