My 240s don't bother me and I have two pair of phones for metal detecting. Sun Ray Gold and Grey Ghost, neither bother me with my glasses... I am thinking about getting lasix surgery now that it has improved so that it will fix most anything and no halos anymore. Life without glasses... wow. To me the worst part of wearing glasses is when it is hot and sweat drips on them... I HATE that. The legs on mine have become part of my head I think. There is a groove on my head where they fit. That may be why the cans don't bother me. When it is hot and I am detecting, many times I use cheap-o "on ear" phones... and I'm thinking that if you aren't mixing some little Radio Shack phones that sit on your ear might work OK... IMO. For 10 or 15 bucks it would be worth a try, then use the cans when critical. Maybe? J

lasik is not really an option for me anyway. 99% of my fuzzy vision is due to astigmatism, not true nearsightedness. my nearsightedness is only 20/60 or 20/70 - lasik doesn't always correct past that anyway. but the astigmatism makes it difficult ot see without glasses. greg - that might work, I might try that!

Yeah, I have this problem now that I need glasses for short distance. And yes, the headphones are a pain. I got a new pair that works for longer cause they fit closer to my head...but they don't last that much longer. I hope someone comes up with something. Maybe it's good that I can't spend hours at my DAW anymore...

Reece, as you know, I only wear my glasses when I am awake. I've started slipping a piece of paper under the earpiece. It has to be relatively stiff, ie notebook paper, not tissue. It acts like a snowshoe, and keeps the earpiece from digging into the thin muscles in front of my ears. This eliminates the focused pressure point that causes the pain. I'm sure it looks dumb, but I'm the only one here, and I can't see it. And it's way more comfortable.

I've got a pair of old Sennheisers that feel great and I can wear them for hours (with my glasses on). In general, I've been pretty happy with Sennheiser closed back models for comfort and quality. (Not a paid endorsement, unfortunately)

I often wear headphones and without my reading glasses I'm not able to see much besides the pretty colors. An eye doctor told me at the time I went to have a vision test that there was nothing they could do to fix "old eyes" so reading glasses would be the answer. I normally put the cans on without thinking but after just a few minutes the arms that rest on my ears are being pressed into my ears by the cups and it starts to hurt. I simply pull the glasses straight out and put them back on with the arms on top of the cups and proceed with the work at hand. I also find my EP630 ear buds are quite comfortable, sound really good, block noise, and do not interfere with glasses. Note on surgery: I saw this just a few weeks back on some TV show with a doctor on it.... they are now in the clinical trial stage on humans testing a new eye surgery that immediately corrects the "old eye" thing and it seems to be working well. http://www.lasik.md/lasik...d-for-reading-glasses/ The price of the procedure will have to come way down.... because for $7 I can buy 3 pair of reading glasses at Walmart.
