Hi Ed

A while back I did a stint with a Johnny Cash tribute band, must've played this song 1000 times....

You have a very refreshing take on it. I liked the pedal steel, did you play it?
The vocals are...unique. And although very different, they fit the interpretation of the song, I think. The whole laid back vibe of it.

Nice work!

Thanks.

Knocked it out in less than four hours.

As stated in response to Beagle, it is BIAB for the pedal steel. BIAB has come a long way with the addition of RealTracks, which is actual players but "assembled" based on the tempo and chord changes. BIAB does not always get it right but when it does it can be  time saver. In this particular case it was a time saver as yesterday was last time I had before the new year to complete a song.

Aw gee,

I actually thought you had reached out and collab'ed with BIABdude... and I was thinking, "heck ya... that baps has got t going on", as well as , "I didn't know BIABdude played steel... cool!"

Oh well, it sounded real good either way!

best regards,
mike

Technically you could say I did collab with BIABdude since (afaik) all he uses is BIAB.
