I'm guessing if you didn't crush and snort them or rub them in your eyes.... your nose wouldn't run and your eyes wouldn't water.....

I think you're supposed to eat them.

Maybe they just misspelled "sweat?"

Years ago, a guy who was working at the same factory I worked at gave me 4 pepper plants.  They were small. He said they would be small plants and the peppers were tiny too, not getting much bigger than an inch or so....

he also said they started green and turned red....and that they were extremely, extremely hot.  He also advised against picking them with bare hands.

So a few months later, I had them growing in the yard and the plants were chock full of pretty little red peppers and it was harvest time. Thinking he had "put me on" about the bare skin thing, I proceeded full steam ahead picking them with my bare hands. It was a hot, humid day and shortly, I had worked up a nice sweat in the sun. Without thinking, I wiped the sweat from my brow, and immediately felt a tingling sensation on my brow..... it quickly turned into a burning sensation. Painful lesson learned.

He was right.... but man were those peppers good.  I let them dry out and then stuffed as many as I could into a glass jar and poured vinegar in on them. In a few days, the vinegar was red and man was it good. Steamed cabbage, collard greens, turnip greens, BBQ pork... never tasted as good....
