B36B, it's good to hear from you. Thank you for your comments. I agree with you about the strings, and I remixed it accordingly. Cheers to you!

Great sound. Vocals and music sound great! I like the feel of the song and the different parts you used. Mix sounds nice on my monitors.

Really good here Bro. I think the kick needs to come up a little bit more. Vocals are really good. Are they your lyrics ? by the way i just heard it on my Imac speakers so I think the kick needs to come up a bit that why.

Hey, Lynn, Very cool song that really showcases your great songwriting skills, along with excellent playing on the instrumental performances and fantastic vocals! I really love that thick guitar tone, and the nice, punchy mix sounds radio ready to my ears. Dynamite song, Lynn, this really rocks! Bob

Hi Tony, thanks for listening and taking the time to reply. Yes, I wrote the lyrics about the woman in my life (who creates pieces of scrimshaw, btw). The next time I play this, I'll pay attention to the bass drum. Thanks for your ears. Bob, it's high praise coming from one as talented as you. I'm still enjoying your newest video, and I'm glad to entertain you, even for a while.

Lynn now it sounds much much better but the strings are sometimes a LIL bit too loud. and the guitar if its possible try the endings of the guitar notes/riff to send to mid or left channel for the right room acoustic. (automation)kinda mirror reflection although it sounds already fantastic maybe it is a try worth maybe not, it's on you. Lynn i really like your voice really powerfull and you combined the sounds of 2 generations together and that's really great. because you make me hip hop head say wow. (and i dont often say wow believe me) and you post here your tracks for free how could it be ??? i wish my english would be better All the best

B36B, thanks for taking the time again to listen. I really do appreciate your comments about my vocals. As for the strings, they have been trickier than some elements to balance against the guitar, but on my 4 monitors, this mix sounds the best. Dave, thank you for your time and kind words. Hopefully, I'm ready to move forward with the next song in my collection, which will be coming soon. Again, thanks to all who've participated in this thread. I've taken many of your ideas and put them in action, which has helped me immensely.

This song makes me want to rip the whale bone out of my corset and get carving! OK, I liked Cream (I even saw them live!) but they were never this good! Clapton should come to you for lessons! Fantastic music.

Malcolmb, thank you very much for the high praise. Over the years, I've listened to a lot of Clapton and have absorbed a few things, but he still reigns supreme with me. You're too kind.

Lynn, great song. As others have pointed out, sounds somewhat like later Cream. The sustain of the guitar does make the soundfield tilt to the right. One of my tricks is to move such a sound toward the center when the vocals aren't filling that spot. I justify it by noting that guitarists often step to center stage during their live fills. Obviously they don't have robot amps that follow them (esp. Cream - that would be one bigass robot), but the illusion works. Great song. @

AT, thanks for listening to my song and taking the time to respond. I seriously thought about centering the guitar in places, but on occasion, I like a little asymmetry.
