Re: "Neverland is back?" It's almost like it never left... 2013/07/08 09:50:22 (permalink)
Robby seems to think I been posting this song 24/7 , LOL ! A few marbles fell out when he posted that on his post I think because its been nearly TWO WEEKS posting this UPDATED finished version for the ALL NEW NEVERLAND .
The old Neverland doesn't sound the same because this NEW version has a different song structure in it , ROBBY seems to think its the Original version of Neverland .

Anyway it is what it is as my new version , Lyrics & vocals next - James

The other thing is the whole song was mixed using one small 10" monitor speaker

James are you sure it`s a 10" ...they are usually Woofers and Subs...... that only are good for Low frequencies,,,

Whoa.... to you ...oh...earth and sea...
for the devil sends the beast with wrath.....
because he knows the time is short.....
let him who hath understanding.....
reckon the number of the beast.....
for it is a human number...
it`s number is.....
666

So if JESUS rose from the DEAD
Does that mean he`s the ORIGINAL ZOMBIE?

Here is what my Monitor speakers looks like and the information on them , in the photo the left POWER speaker stop working on me so I took the right speaker and ran it into my Panasonic CD Stereo system to power it .
http://reviews.cnet.com/separate-speakers/m-audio-studiophile-av/4505-7869_7-32902913.html

The Studiophile AV 20 features a built-in Class D amplifier that delivers 10 watts per channel. The speakers use a two-way design: each one has, according to M-Audio, a 2-inch composite paper/fiberglass woofer and a 1-inch Mylar balanced-dome tweeter.

Keep working on this James, stop arguing with others because they disapprove of what you are doing. That's their problem, not yours and you shouldn't make it yours either, you know what I am talking about.

Much better sounding, I really like what ya got going on here, do your thing and stop trying to please everyone else, not saying it's not good to take advice, I'm just saying in the end it is your song and you should make it sound the way you want it to.

Sounded cool!!

No WORRY here Bobby , I'm still working on writing some lyrics . Right now I'm tossing around lyrics ideal's in my head and really don't have anything solid to add to this music but in time I will prevail as long as I keep working at it .

Thanks Bobby - James

Not sure whats up suddenly after Robby trashed me no one has commented on my finished updated version I posted . Maybe Robby is sending out PM's behind my back asking people here to not to comment on my posted songs hell I don't know but I wouldn't put it past him after reading all his comments aimed at me recently .

Anyway I can't see wasting my time on lyrics & vocals if no one is interested in this new song version of NEVERLAND , I might as well say the hell with it and move on to something else .
Any comments on the music I updated and the MIX would be great , thanks - James

It's sounds good to me. Add your vocals and see what needs adjusted. A saxophone would be pretty cool in a few places.

Cakewalk, Harrison Mixbus 4, Waveform 9, ADK intel i7 2600 3.40 ghz, 8gb Ram, Win 7, Presonus Audiobox 44VSL.

Hi Clint thanks for the listen , I really need to buy new monitor speakers . I'm going to ordered something in a few weeks , yea right now I'm trying to get started with some lyrics . I messed around with it using my old Neverland lyrics and it didn't sound bad but my plan is to rewrite the lyrics with something different .
A SAX your right would sound cool , I did add some trumpet in the chorus section between my two bridge sections and in the ending chorus sections and that sounded cool to me .
Maybe a SAX in each verse might be worth cheecking out , thanks for the suggestions .

Today I added guitar to each verse section , the music is now finished . Now my focus is on rewriting the lyrics and adding vocals to it . Heres the final new version the finished music version .

I'm getting excited now ! After adding my new lead guitar track to both verses its fits perfect with the old NEVERLAND LYRICS , in fact the whole song sings just like the orginal song I recorded back in 2009 . The only difference is this new version sounds so much better then the old version I did back then .

Now all I have to do is rewrite the Lyrics and get my vocals back in shape again , I can sing the old lyrics now but right now my voice is breaking up some while singing . With some daily singing practice I hope to smooth things out so my vocals end up sounding half way decent all the way through the song .

Anyway right now the music is just where I wanted it to be when I started it , it's taken weeks of messing around with it but its finally all started to come together .

Cheers - James

It could use a change of chord every now and again to help create some dynamics.

Each section just seems to amble along before morphing into the next. It would help if you could introduce a little tension/resolution to help move the piece forward. Think of the 'classic' (but nonetheless effective) turnaround in a 12-bar blues, or the tension created by a suspended fourth chord before it resolves to the major.

Thanks but each verse has four chords in it and the chorus section has another three chords in each chords totally out at seven chords for the verses & chorus sections only then another three chords for the bridge section thats a total of  TEN chords for the whole song . Also theres a mix of three finger & four finger chords throughout the song .
I'm really happy with the song the way it is but hey you have your likes and dislikes nothing wrong with that , I'm pleased with all elements and the work I put into the music I created from the orginal song I created back in 2009 .
Another thing is I have already recorded some vocals using the old lyrics and it works perfectly , the lead guitar and all the other song elements all fit perfectly with the old lyrics .
My plan is to take the old lyrics and change the words but sing it the same way as before , just haven't gotten that far yet but I'm working on it .

Thanks for your thoughts but I have a GREEN LIGHT in my mind & ears -James
