Edit clips in WaveLab from within Sonar?

In Sonar 6 Producer (still on my XP machine), in the Tools drop-down menu, I can open WL to edit clips. There is even an “Edit this menu” option. (Somewhere there was a “Tools Menu Editor for Cakewalk Products v1.1”)
A month or so ago I was talking with CW tec support and the guy said he would send me instructions on how to do this in X1 but I never heard from him. Can anyone tell me how to configure this?

Sonar X1 Expanded (x64), Win 7 64-bit, ASUS N53S laptop, intel core i7, 8GB RAM, MOTU 828mk3,Outboard preamps, etc.

This should work. The instructions are for Sonar but applies to all third party editors: http://www.cakewalk.com/S...reader.aspx/2007013099 Ironically I can't get it to work

Thanks for the tip. I will try this tomorrow when I have a clear head. That "Edit this menu" feature was really handy.

I'm not sure this applies to X1.

Do it the easy way guys...without having to mess with your registry. Scott G has this little utility on his site that I have been using for years on every version of Sonar. It does everything for you in an easy to use application. Get it here: http://www.digifreq.com/digifreq/downloads/SetupSonarUtils__302.exe

Honest it works perfect with no issues at all. :)

Danny, great..you show up after i resolve the issue for myself!! i saw that utility but it seemed like it may not apply to X1 and did not want to risk it. might have saved me some headache. Thanks for sharing the link.

I have SF10 working fine in SONAR X1.

i didn't realise that Bruces Ennis' SonarUtils worked in X1 x64 or any 64 bit version for that matter.

Sorry dub..I was a bit slow on the draw. Mike is correct in the post above me though. If you are using X1 x64, it won't work. It's for the 32 bit version only. So it wouldn't have saved you any headaches there. But for all versions of Sonar 32, it's worked wonders for me. I don't use x64 all that much because I just don't seem to need it other than for large synth type stuff. My pc using 32 bit Sonar rocks so hard I don't even have to freeze tracks thankfully.

Is there anything for X2a 64-bit?
I thought I had it working on my 64-bit machine but when I had to reinstall Sonar (went to an SSD) I couldn't remember how to do it.
It's been so long, maybe I'm thinking of my old PC.......

The instructions in the post above work for X2a 64bit. Duckbar from http://www.sonarmods.com (register to download) also has a graphical front end for making the needed changes to add an editor to the Utilities menu.

This is the one I'm having problems with.  (No help file)
After installed, it seems it can't find Sonar.  Using X2a, 64bit on Win7.  "File not found: Cakewalk INI", "Serial Number: Unknown", "Select Sonar Version": Under 'Producer', no options given and "Error-Product type not found".  Sonar is installed under the default directory: C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\SONAR X2 Producer\SONARPDR.exe

SONAR Utils does not work with 64bit SONAR. If you must have a graphical tool to modify the X2 Utilities menu the only option, at this time, that I am aware of is Duckbar from www.sonarmods.com (register to download).
