PSP Meters

Here's a strange one - help needed. I've just installed the PSP Meters demo (64-bit) and I get an error loading the PPM Mono plugin. If I install the 32-bit version and use bit-bridge it picks it up and works fine.
The stranger thing is, on my 32-bit machine I get the same error message using the 32-bit version as I get on my 64-bit machine with the 64-bit plug.
Any ideas?

I'm not even getting that far. When I scan my plugs I get an error (can't seem to attach an image using the forum software). Error reads "The failure point was reported as Close Effect". If I install the 32-bit version and scan that folder - it scans fine.
On my old 32-bit computer, the 32-bit version causes the same scanning error.
Seems strange that the 32-bit version works with bit-bridge but not on a 32-bit host.
