Additional items in X2 that annoy me

For everything I find that annoys me, it sets back the things I like about X2. I try, but X2 is like M$ Vista... Recently working on 2 projects, here are issues I ran into.

1. I turn the metronome OFF in the metronome settings. I set for no (0) count in. When I press record to lay down a track, I get a count in for on measure with no way to turn it off. When the project starts recording, the metronome does turn off. I rebooted the machine and the problem went away. I have tried to recreate the issue but haven't been able to and haven't spent too much time trying to repro issues. I would rather create music than help fix a product I am paying for.
2. When recording with lanes active and showing on the screen, I set the prior take to mute the lane. I then record a second take in an additional lane. I stop the recording and do a SHIFT-Z and the recording is deleted, but the MUTE of the prior lane is also unmuted. You would think that these would be separate events that X2 would be able to have as separate in the history, wouldn't you? I do and that is what is irritating me.

I have also had X2 crash on me to the desktop with no recovery in these sessions.

I would like to see an X2b or a steep discount on an upgrade to X3. X2 is horrible IMO but I still keep trying to use it since I paid for it. I hate wasting money no matter how irritating it is.

Peace,

This isn't a very wise decision, is it? (I wonder if the term "opportunity cost" applies to this case.)
I think you should look for a daw that works best for you. Seriously.

I've had similar metronome issues.  Admittedly they are less frequent with X2a than they were with X1 or X2 - but I  still do have the issue once in a while.
