I can't decide if I want to be more like Bapu or Bitflipper...

such the dilemma

I vote for bitflipper. He's got class! I'm just crass (according to the "milk monitors" upstairs).

Sometimes when I come to the CH I am reminded of an old joke my dad used to tell.

Guy goes into a homey neighborhood pub for the first time. As he's enjoying a beverage, another patron stands up and loudly says "seventeen!". There is a moment of silence, then the room erupts in laughter.

A while later another patron shouts "twenty-nine!". Another brief silence followed by laughter.

The guy asks the bartender what's going on. The bartender explains that the same guys have been telling the same jokes in there for so long that they've assigned numbers to them for efficiency. No need to actually tell the joke if everybody already knows it.

So he decides to join in. He stands up and announces "twelve!". Polite chuckles, but nobody laughs. Turning to the bartender, he asks what he's done wrong. Bartender says "don't feel bad, some people just can't tell a joke".

Dave,

I heard that joke but the guy did not announce "twelve!". When it was told to me it was "nineteen" and I laughed hysterically and never heard the punchline.

I've been accused of being childish and should stay in the CH (where I belong).

I've also been accused of trying to be intimidating by creating conflict where there is none.

I've been told to keep my stick poking (he shudda said schtick, ya?) to myself.

I've been deemed sad, too.

I'm sensing a pattern here.

Seems like I'm being harassed and I believe that is against the TOS, ya?

Obviously old jb got a "bone" to pick with you...

I dont see you as stalking or MCQ, fer that matter..

I can see bully applied to someone else however..

Cyberbullying is defined in legal glossaries as
  • actions that use information and communication technologies to support deliberate, repeated, and hostile behavior by an individual or group, that is intended to harm another or others.
  • use of communication technologies for the intention of harming another person
  • use of internet service and mobile technologies such as web pages and discussion groups as well as instant messaging or SMS text messaging with the intention of harming another person.
Examples of what constitutes cyberbullying include communications that seek to intimidate, control, manipulate, put down, falsely discredit, or humiliate the recipient. The actions are deliberate, repeated, and hostile behavior intended to harm another. Cyberbullying has been defined by The National Crime Prevention Council: “When the Internet, cell phones or other devices are used to send or post text or images intended to hurt or embarrass another person."[1][2]

A cyberbully may be a person whom the target knows or an online stranger. A cyberbully may be anonymous and may solicit involvement of other people online who do not even know the target. This is known as a 'digital pile-on.'[3]

I don't know about you guys, but I feel intimidated and bullied by Bapu's post count.

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

He's doing jumping jacks to Olivia Newton John's "Let's Get Physical". This is how he lets out his frustrations againts the bullies upstairs.
